Today in Mr. Schick’s Human Geography class, we extended our
notes on the movie. The movie is called God
Grew Tired of us. It is about the Lost Boys who had to escape from the
civil war in their country of Sudan. We started watching this movie yesterday
and continued today. What we saw today was some of these men, had the privilege
of coming to America and living there. The Untied Nation would pay for the men to
have an apartment and it was there job to find a job. Once they found a job,
they would pay back the money they borrowed from the United Nation and then pay
for their housing once they could afford it. The men were spread out into
several cities in America. It was a very sad and happy time for them when they
had to leave what they have come to know as their brothers. Ever since they had
to run away, they have never been apart, so it was an emotional time for those
leaving .
